 In Antigua and Barbuda

First Lady and Candidate for the Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party for the St. John’s Rural East Constituency, Mrs. Maria Browne has partnered with the Adopt a Family Foundation in bringing relief to a member of the community who required assistance in the repair of her home.

Mrs. Browne noted that she was very pleased to be of assistance┬áto the young woman as it falls within “my passion to ensure that every member of the constituency has adequate housing, which is fundamental to us building a strong and safe community.”

She noted that she will continue to work closely with the Adopt a Family foundation in identifying other needy individuals in the community who can benefit from the programme. She commended Sergeant Veldon Ragguette for the work he has been doing in the community and admonish the business community to continue to lend support to the initiative. She also praised the men of Her Majesty’s Prison who have been partnering with the Adopt a Family Foundation on a number of home construction and repairs.

We present photos of the work being done on the home in the Cassada Gardens area.
